Monday, 28th October: Finalising Who Are The Keylass
I wrapped up Who Are The Keylass, a story set within the Sin-Eater universe, which is now available on Jerrymanders (Who Are The Keylass?). This piece dives into the backstory of the Keylass, mysterious beings integral to the Sin-Eater lore. After completing the story, I requested a line edit from Sol, my in-home AI editor. This experience reminded me of the importance of clear editing guidelines, especially regarding tense consistency.

To improve Sol’s editorial approach, I updated my prompt to ensure it maintained my narrative’s past tense while keeping dialogue in the present tense. This adjustment preserves the immersive feel of dialogue, while ensuring the surrounding narrative remains consistent. The updated prompt helps Sol stay aligned with my style, a crucial component of our collaborative process. We also discussed the use of profanity and graphic violence, which are essential to certain characters and genres in my writing. After clarifying my stance, Sol updated her approach, respecting my choices while ensuring content remains true to my vision.

Tuesday, 29th October: Building a Searchable Creative Database
Today, I enhanced my organisational tools by updating Anything LLM (download here) and adding Ollama (Download Here) to my Mac. I also set up a private, searchable database using Llama3.1, hosted in the Anything LLM workspace, where I store all my manuscripts, character profiles, and story-related notes.

This new system allows me to quickly pull up references for any character or universe, making the creative process more efficient. For example, if I’m working on Sin-Eater and need details about Indicus-Resquire, I can easily search for related notes and drafts in the database. This setup has been a game-changer, streamlining access to all my creative materials, especially for larger, multi-dimensional projects that require frequent cross-referencing.

Wednesday, 30th October: Writing and Producing The Tale About Us
Today’s focus was on music, as I wrote and produced a new song, The Tale About Us. The songwriting process began with creating the lyrics, which I refined using Udio (Udio). Udio helps me eliminate excess words and polish the chorus, ensuring the song flows naturally. Once the lyrics were ready, I brought them into LoudMe (LoudMe AI) and Suno (Suno AI) for full production, adding musical layers and harmonies that elevate the emotional tone.

To visually accompany the track, I used Ideogram AI (Ideogram AI) to design an album cover for my YouTube playlist, Cassidy and The Castoffs (YouTube playlist). The song was completed, uploaded, and is now available on YouTube. I also updated my Music.KarenEastland.id.au website (Music) with upcoming releases scheduled for November and December, making it easy for listeners to keep track of new music.

Thursday, 31st October: New Song Will You Remember Me?
Today, I began working on a new song titled Will You Remember Me?. After writing the initial lyrics, I used Udio to refine them, focusing on tightening the structure and enhancing the emotional impact. My next steps will involve taking the song through both Suno and LoudMe for production.

An important update regarding LoudMe is their recent change in their free plan, which now offers monthly credits instead of daily ones. This adjustment means I’ll need to manage my production credits more carefully, especially for projects requiring extensive vocal and instrumental layering. Despite the shift, LoudMe remains a valuable tool in my music creation process, adding a professional quality to each track.

Summary
The final week of October was a blend of storytelling, music production, and productivity enhancements. From finalising Who Are The Keylass to writing and producing new songs like The Tale About Us and Will You Remember Me?, each project has allowed me to explore different aspects of creativity. With the help of Sol, my AI editor, and a new searchable database, I’m able to streamline my workflow while keeping my artistic voice intact. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue expanding my stories and songs, using these tools to keep my work organised and accessible.
